GO Haiti: Zion Hinsdale Hosts benefit concert for the Orphans of Haiti
Hinsdale – Zion Hinsdale will host “GO” – God’s Orphans: A Benefit for Haiti”, the Feb. 13th concert at the Zion Hinsdale school gymnasium (see map) will feature Chicago’s top bands ranging from rhythm & blues, jazz, gospel, pop and rock.
“We think that it is important to reach out and help those who can’t help themselves,” said Pastor Jay Klein.
“Although the events are devastating, we are grateful we have the ability to help those that are in need.”
Five bands are slated to play for the event, which begins at 2p.m. and continues until 6p.m. Holly McGuire, kicks off the line‐up featuring an expansive genre of jazz, Blues and R & B, followed by Brother John specializing in blues, R&B, New Orleans music and jazz. Hinsdale Central’s own, Roof Top Nights will be on hand, along with R & B vocalist, Chicago’s Premiere Bon Jovi Tribute Band, Slippery When Wet and Renea Taylor, one of the country’s most gifted and dynamic vocalist singing inspirational, motivational and Gospel. Zion’s own ZYG, Zion Youth Group Singers will raise their voice in praise during sets.
The family event will not only feature music, but magic. The “Sears Tower of Magic”, Dennis DeBondt will blend his quick wit, humor and magical talents creating a show that truly deserves the name, "Very Funny Magic".
Zion hopes to raise at least a $10,000 but with growing interest in the event, the hope is that much more will be raised.
Event organizer, Tricia Montgomery, noted that everyone involved is donating their time and talents to this event.
All proceeds collected will go in support of the Haitian Orphans, Lutheran Church Charities and the Red Cross.

Zion Hinsdale, 204 South Grant Street, Hinsdale. Tickets are $10 per person at the door. The show is
suitable for all ages.
