Altar Guild
Zion Altar Guild is responsible for the altar and communion vessels. Other responsibilities include taking care of changing the paraments throughout the church year, ordering flowers for the altar, distributing flowers to shut-in or sick members after services, and other service opportunities as needed.
M.O.L.S
The M.O.L.s (Men of Leisure) are a group of retired men who enjoy working together for the good of the church. The M.O.L.s have contributed hundreds of hours of work using their skills. They do painting, landscaping, repairing cabinets, building shelves, setting up the Creche at Christmas time, and many other miscellaneous jobs.
Ladies' Guild
Ladies' Guild looks for ways to provide items for the church that have not been covered in the yearly budget. Over the years they have provided the dishes and other items for the kitchen, taken care of organizing and serving for funeral dinners, raised funds for items for the church and for individuals as the needs arise.
Greeters
Greeters welcome people as they come to Zion for worship services. They have the opportunity to greet and welcome all visitors and members as they prepare for worship.
Acolytes
Children in the Confirmation classes of Zion acolyte for the worship services. They are responsible for lighting the candles on the altar and receiving the offering plates from the ushers. For Festival services they are also banner bearers and carry the processional cross.
Quilters
In partnership with Lutheran World Relief, Zion Quilters make quilts for people in need all over the world. The quilts become a visible sign of the love God wants shared with all people. The group is made up of approximately 15 women from various churches in the area who meet every Tuesday morning. The ladies have taken on the responsibility of making approximately 150 quilts a year.
