Meet Pastor Nieman

Pastor David Nieman was ordained in 2017 after earning his Master of Divinity from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO. He first served as Care Pastor at St. John's Lutheran Church in West Bend, WI, before accepting a Call to Zion in 2025. He is eager to shepherd God's people at Zion and build meaningful connections within Hinsdale and the surrounding community. His ministry is driven by a passion for equipping believers to follow Jesus, seek God's will, and rest in His grace and promises.

Pastor David is blessed to be married to Samantha, whom he considers “altogether pretty great.” They have three boys and are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their baby girl. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, reading, playing guitar, and building computers. Originally from the Southwest, he has mostly adapted to Midwest winters—though he still misses the mountains.
